I did not receive a manual with the flash, and I found the Windi book to be a little light in the flash department. Well, maybe the info was there, I was not able to absorb it. I have three questions or senarios: Film = ASA fill in the blank brand. 1. Subject is backlit. As with all the Other Hasselblad lenses, the Planar f. /80 mm lens has a built-in Synchro-Compur be- tween-lens shutter with automatic diaphragm, exposure value scale (EVS), automatic depth-of-field indicator, fully synchronized M and X flash Settings, and V self-timer setting. The lens is attached to the camera body by a bayonet fitting.

A long time ago, i posted a comparison between the D40 and a Metz hammerhead. The results of the D40 were not that different, the extra reflector of the Metz proving to be useful as well, providing extra control (direct + indirect). The D40 can be used as bare bulb flash, which the Metz can't emulate. But frankly, the bare bulb light is horrible. I am between Hasselblad's own D40 and Metz's Mecablitz 60 CT I have no need for all the special functions of the Mecablitz as the CW has a simple TTL sensor, but it looks more powerful (I am not sure of the power of the D40) and more versatile than the Hasselblad one. When combined with cameras that are compatible with the Nikon Creative Lighting System, the SB is controlled in i-TTL and D40's Manual exposure mode. The SB flash head can be tilted in 4 steps, horizontal, as well as 60, 75 and 90 degrees, and has a flash shooting distance range from m to 20m (2ft to 66ft).
