Create the address list before you create the users – then all new created users will show up, if they match the filter criteria. Update existing user’s attributes by re-setting a property in the mailbox (or in the user properties, if it’s f.e. a contact). Applies to: Exchange Server , Exchange Server , Exchange Server , Exchange Server This cmdlet is available only in on-premises Exchange. Use the Update-GlobalAddressList cmdlet to update the recipients included in a global address list (GAL). For information about the parameter sets in the Syntax section below, see Exchange cmdlet syntax.

The only problem is, that in Outlook Client (in GAL) is email address with big letters in the beganing of name and surname. I have waited more than 30 hours, no update in GAL at all, even if I download GAL manually through send and recieve button - download GAL Thank you. Best regards. Mark. The command for the manual update procedure can be found here: Send/Receive- Send/Receive Groups- Download Address Book Outlook will automatically download updates only unless the size of the changes is larger than % (one-eighth) of the total OAB size. In that case the whole OAB is being downloaded again. Click your Exchange account, and then click to select the Include the selected account in this group check box. Under Select the options you want for the selected account group, make sure that the only check box that is selected is Download offline address book, and then click OK. In the Send/Receive Groups dialog box, click your new group.

It doesn't use the FDS because Exchange stores the OAB in a mailbox and doesn't need to push out all the files to the client access servers.
